McGregor believes he will knock out Floyd Mayweather inside two rounds but is ready for all scenarios when the two fighters clash in their eagerly anticipated superfight.

Conor McGregor has had fiery exchanges with Floyd Mayweather and is predicting a quick defeat for the American.

"I am ready to go to war for 12 rounds and I am also ready to put him away in seconds," said the 29-year-old UFC Champion. "There is no way in hell I am not prepared to fight in the deepest of trenches."

Conor says that the lighter gloves will work to his advantage. "Particularly with the eight-ounce gloves, I don't believe he makes it out of the second round," said McGregor.

However, since this will be a boxing bout Mayweather will also be at an advantage. Mayweather's fast hands could be quicker with lighter gloves, while McGregor will be able to make his punching power more keenly felt.

Conor has always convinced people of his skills, most spectacularly in December 2015 when he said he would KO Jose Aldo, who was unbeaten for ten years, in the first round. He knocked Aldo out in 13 seconds.

The 40-year-old Mayweather has been feeling the heat ahead of the bout. Although he shows resilience, Conor will have an age advantage over Mayweather.

Conor said that the disrespect and disregard for his skill has kept him motivated.
