Malayalam film industry is always known for its experimental movies and pathbreaking innovations. Now, a women-based anthology is in the making, and it has some of the talented actresses in the industry in lead roles. 

 


Inspired by the success of 'Anchu Sundarikal' an anthology based on the lives of five women, 'Crossroads' was conceived by veteran director Lenin Rajendran. The anthology will have ten movies directed by well-known filmmakers, and each film will have one lead actress playing the protagonist.

 

Currently, the makers have confirmed the names of leading ladies Parvathy Menon, Mamtha Mohandas, Padmapriya,  Priyanka, Isha Talwar, Shruti Menon, Srinda Arhaan. and theatre actor Kanchana for the roles, the names of other heroines are still under wraps. 

 


The films are based on women and issues faced by them in the society. 

 


Each film will be of 15 to 20 minutes duration. The films have gone on floors, and the makers are planning to release it in 2017. The film will be made under the production banner of Forum for Better films.
