With Suresh Gopi, Sreesanth on board, Kerala BJP adds glamour to state council

Star power in Kerala state BJP

For the first time in history,  Kerala witnessed a star-studded Assembly election this time with a maximum number of film stars, directors and sports personalities taking the plunge. Taking a cue from this trend  and to widen its base in Kerala, the BJP has added glamour to its state committee by inducting Malayalam super star Suresh Gopi and cricketer Sreesanth along with a big line up of stars and directors. 

 

Besides Suresh Gopi, who was nominated to the Rajya Sabha by the Modi government just a few weeks before the Kerala Assembly elections, actor Bheeman Raghu will also find a place in the party state comittee.  Famous actor- director Rajasenan and cricket player S Sreesanth will be special invitees to the commiteee along with Raghu.  Film director Ali Akbar, who also contested the elections on a BJP ticket  is a permanent invitee to the committee. Former IAS officer and senior leader Alphons Kannanthanam is also part of the panel of permanent invitees.


Richard Hay, the Anglo-Indian representative to the Lok Sabha, was also included in the BJP state working committee.  The state working committee constitutes of 37 special invitees, nine permanent invitees and 36 members. BJP also announced the names of 55 new members to the state 139 strong executive council.
