The donations at the hundis of the Dasanjaneya Swamy Temple which used to fall somewhere between ₹2.5 lakh to ₹3 lakh in a period of 60 days has seen a whopping jump. The hundis are now filled to the brim with the old ₹500 and ₹1000 notes. A temple executive has revealed that hundi collection reached a surge in the last 72 days and the overall collections came upto ₹1,05,59,327.
Apart from the old notes, the hundi also had many silver and gold rings, bricks etc.
The Machavaram Anjaneya Swamy Temple which is also known as the Lord Hanuman temples is in Krishna district in Vijaywada.
