Food Box project: If you order food online, do not throw away used plastic boxes

The Centre For Nursing has started a project in Bengaluru to re-use the boxes in which food ordered online is packed. Instead of throwing them into dustbins and adding to plastic waste, here is what you can do.

In cities like Bengaluru, online food delivery platforms like Swiggy, Zomato, Uber Eats and others are more a necessity than fashion. In the busy life, many of those who go to work opt to order food online. The food is delivered in beautifully packed boxes. After the consumption of food, the boxes are trashed, adding more plastic to the garbage. To prevent this, the Centre For Nursing has started a project in Bengaluru wherein they take all the used plastic boxes and re-use. The moment you have collected 10 or more boxes, persons concerned can be contacted and they will collect it from you as part of their Food Box project.
