This initiative plants 108 clusters (540 trees) of sacred species including Peepal, Banyan, Gular, Desi Aam, Paakad, to restore biodiversity, stabilize riverbanks, and create microclimate buffers in Vrindavan’s high-growth faith corridor.
Developing a green buffer zone to prepare Vrindavan for the projected rise in pilgrim footfall from 2.45 crore to nearly 6 crore annually.

In recent development, Krishna Bhumi Arcade, an initiative by Infinity group, on tuesday, launched a 140-acre Panchvati greenbelt restoration along the Yamuna, partnering with Uttar Pradesh Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department and Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad (BTVP) at Shri Bihar Panchvati Mahotsav 2025. This initiative plants 108 clusters (540 trees) of sacred species including Peepal, Banyan, Gular, Desi Aam, Paakad, to restore biodiversity, stabilize riverbanks, and create microclimate buffers in Vrindavan’s high-growth faith corridor.
Emphasis on ecosystem restoration and climate-inclusive growth, the project supports UP’s 242 crore tree-planting leadership and prepares for pilgrim footfall in Vrindavan projected to rise from 2.45 crore to nearly 6 crore annually amid Jewar Airport and Rs. 30,000 crore investments. Fruit trees aid gaushalas, flowers supply temples, fostering a circular ecological economy. This project represents one of the Braj region’s largest spiritual-ecological restoration efforts and coincides with Vrindavan’s rise as a global spiritual and pilgrimage hotspot.
Situated in Vrindavan’s most spiritually dense and environmentally sensitive corridor, the initiative reflects Infinity Group’s philosophy of seva parmo dharma (service is the highest duty). It aims to harmonize rapid urban growth with ecological stewardship, enhancing the pilgrim experience while future-proofing the region’s liveability.
Shri Bihar Panchvati Mahotsav 2025 was inaugurated by Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena, State Minister (Independent Charge), Forest, Environment, Forest Protection & Climate Change, Government of Uttar Pradesh and Grammy Award winner and Padma Bhushan awardee Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt (creator of the Mohan Veena) and Tantri Samrat Pandit Salil Bhatt (creator of the Satvik Veena) along with renowned Pandit Ajay Prasanna, three-time Grammy Award nominee. The ceremony was held in the presence of 108 revered mahants, who led the planting of Panchvati clusters composed of five sacred species selected for both environmental and cultural significance. Community participation was further underscored by Tulsi sapling plantation initiatives.
Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena, MoS, said, “Global warming and rising temperatures demand immediate action, and reducing carbon dioxide begins with planting and protecting trees. Our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s message, ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, captures this beautifully, and today’s plantation drive by revered saints strengthens that national mission.
Under Yogi Adityanath ji’s leadership, Uttar Pradesh has planted over 242 crore trees in the last eight years, making it the state No. 1 in India. This success belongs to the people including citizens of all age groups, NGOs, and now sages and seers, whose collective effort is transforming our environment.
Built on Kumbh Poorva Vaishnav Baithak Sthal, this greenbelt will ensure cleaner air for Kumbh 2031 pilgrims. The preparation for that future begins today.”
Ravindra Chamaria, CMD, Infinity Group, described Braj as both a spiritual and ecological heritage landscape with millennia-old cultural memory. While addressing the audience, he said, “Braj is not merely a region of spiritual significance, it is an ecological heritage that carries thousands of years of cultural memory. As Vrindavan Dham evolves into a global spiritual destination with unprecedented footfall and connectivity, the responsibility to protect its natural character becomes even greater.
“At Infinity Group, we believe that development must always honour landscape, legacy, and divinity. This 140-acre green restoration is our way of safeguarding Vrindavan’s future by reviving the Vrindavan our scriptures speak of.”
While speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ravee Shankar, CMO, Krishna Bhumi Arcade, said, “Vrindavan is entering a decisive phase of growth. With Rs. 30,000+ crore worth of cultural and infrastructural development reshaping the Braj corridor and the upcoming Jewar Airport enhancing global connectivity, the sacred city is rapidly emerging as one of the world’s most significant spiritual destinations. With annual pilgrimage expected to rise from 2.45 crore to nearly 6 crore over the next five years, such a scale demands sustainable ecological buffers that protect the environment, support the local community, enrich the pilgrim experience, and preserve the spiritual sanctity of Vrindavan.”
“Krishna Bhumi Arcade, an initiative of Infinity Group and India’s first religious and cultural product mall, is an extension of our core philosophy of seva. Local businesses will gain a global platform to showcase their offerings, while pilgrims will enjoy a standardised, hassle-free shopping experience, all at one place, under one roof”, he added.
According to the information, this project builds on a multi-year tripartite agreement with UPBTVP and Nagar Nigam to restore the Kumbh-Poorva Vaishnav Baithak land, damaged during recent monsoon floods. Panchvati Mahotsav 2025 accelerates recovery by re-establishing green cover, strengthening heat mitigation zones, and reinforcing riverbank ecology.
