Gender role is one of the predominant hurdles in gender equality. Though slowly and gradually women have successfully invaded the space traditionally reserved for men but even today, men doing household chores or doing the traditional feminine works receive a much different response from the society.

Even in a set up like marriage, a husband doing domestic chores receives much appreciation rather than a wife who also has a career, does the household work, and also attends parent teacher meet in her child’s school. 

This short viral video perfectly captures the role that society plays in establishing gender equality and the true essence of marriage. The video shows the husband doing household chores while also having a career and why this arrangement should not draw a different reaction.
