Siddaganga Mutt entrance closed, leaders rush to Tumakuru amid news of seer's critical condition

Bengaluru: Shivakumara Swamiji of Siddaganga Mutt is said to be critical. Currently, he is being treated at the Siddaganga Hospital in Tumakuru, Karnataka. The seer is 111 years old and was recently operated upon in Chennai.

Political leaders of the state including BS Yeddyurappa of the BJP, MB Patil of the Congress have reached Tumakuru and are discussing with the doctors about the health of the seer.  

The entrance of the Siddaganga Mutt has been closed and barricades have been placed on the roads leading to the mutt.

It is also said that 10 vehicles with LED screens have arrived in the premises and screens are being put up.

People have started praying for the seer's recovery.  Shivakumara Swamiji is also known as Walking God in Karnataka. Girl students of the Siddaganga Guru Kula along with their teachers are conducting Mrityunjaya Homa for the speedy recovery of the seer.

Even leaders who visited the seer have said that the health of the seer is critical. Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy is bound to Tumakuru from Mysuru. Even Congress leaders have ended their resort stay and are travelling to Tumakuru to visit the seer.

In December 2018, Shivakumara Swamiji underwent a liver bypass and gall bladder removal surgery at the Dr Rela Institute and Medical Centre in Chennai.
