Tumakuru: Shivakumara Swamiji of the Siddaganga Mutt breathed his last at 11.44 AM, on Monday (January 21) in Tumakuru. He was 111. To help the devotees pay their last respects, South Western Railway (SWR) has arranged special trains to Tumakuru.

Today (January 22), four special trains will function between Bengaluru and Tumakuru. The first train has already left from Yeshwantpur railway station at 7.30 AM.

All special trains will start from Yeshwantpur at 7.30 AM, 9 AM, 12 PM and 1.30 PM.

Accordingly, trains will reach Yeshwantpur from Tumakuru at 9.40 AM, 11.10 AM, 2.45 PM and 4.15 PM, respectively.

At the Tumakuru railway station, arrangements have been made by the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) for special buses to take the devotees to Siddaganga Mutt, where mortal remains of the seer are kept. Buses will travel from Tumakuru railway station through the ring road to the Mutt.

KSRTC has also arranged special buses from Tumakuru APMC bus stop, railway station, Siddaganga Junior College to the Siddaganga Mutt.

Chief minister HD Kumaraswamy had announced that the mortal remains will be kept for the public to pay respects till 3 PM on Tuesday.
