The Ningaloo Eclipse, a "hybrid" solar eclipse, will occur on April 20.  This alignment occurs just a few times every century. There will be a total of four eclipses in 2023, including two lunar eclipses and two solar eclipses.

According to Space.com, the Moon will block out the Sun in this configuration, and the kind of eclipse will change from total solar eclipse to annular (ring-shaped) as the moon's shadow passes across the Earth's surface. Because the Earth's surface is curved, an eclipse can occasionally transition from annular to total as the Moon's shadow advances around the globe.

According to Space.com, the last hybrid solar eclipse occurred in 2013, and the next will occur in 2031 and then on March 23, 2164. The hybrid solar eclipse has been named after an aboriginal word, Ningaloo Eclipse.

The hybrid solar eclipse will be visible from western Australia, East Timor, and eastern Indonesia, but not in India. According to In the Sky, it will begin in the South Pacific, over Western Australia, East Timor, and Indonesia at 9:36 p.m. EDT on April 19 and end at 2:59 a.m. EDT on April 20.

According to Space.com, YouTube channels like as TimeAndDate.com will broadcast on April 19 around 9:30 p.m. EDT, while Gravity Discovery Centre and Observatory will livestream at roughly 10 p.m. EDT.  However, eclipse will not be visible in India but people can witness the unique experience online.

The next solar eclipse will occur in 2023 on October 14, while the two lunar eclipses will occur on May 5-6 and October 28-29.
