1. Do not use any soap, opt for gentle cleanser: Avoid using soap to wipe the colour off. Choose a gentle cleaner, then apply lots of moisturising cream later. Make a homemade paste if you experience any skin sensitivity while cleaning the Holi colours from your skin.

2. NO to hot water, take cold water: Always remember to wash off Holi colours with cool water. The reason is that removing Holi colours readily with heated water becomes even more difficult. Avoid repeatedly washing your skin because it can cause the colours to fade out.

3. Say NO to any treatments: After Holi, avoid getting a facial, bleaching your hair, or colouring your hair. Before using any harsh pesticides, you must delay for at least one or two weeks.

4. Lemon to the rescue for nails: Holi colours can make the nails brittle and dull, therefore, soak your nails in cold water. After playing Holi, the nails eventually start becoming yellow. To avoid this, you need lemon juice. Soak your nails in lemon juice for 10 minutes. Apply a heavy moisturiser on your hands before playing Holi as it will easily remove the colours later.

5. What's for the hair?: Try to avoid shampooing your hair right after playing Holi. Instead, apply a mask of egg yolk or curd and leave it for 45 minutes before shampoo. This will help remove the colours and reduce any damage.
