Veteran actor Sadashiv Brahmavar dies at 90, news spreads after completion of last rites
Actor Sadashiv Brahmavar died of age-related issues, say sources. But the actor was suffering from Alzheimer's for quite some time now.
Veteran Kannada actor Sadashiv Brahmavar breathed his last on September 19. But the news of his death spread only today, after the family informed about it after performing his last rites.
Known for his great performance in Kannada movies like Shivamani (2009), Kanasembo kudureyaneri (2010), Ranganayaki (1981) and Sadashiv Brahmavar, has acted in more than 150 films.
He died of age-related issues, say sources. But the actor was suffering from Alzheimer's for quite some time now. Last year, he had ran from home and was found lost at a bus stop in Kumta, Karnataka. However, when superstars of Kannada films including Shivarajkumar, Sudeep and Upendra came forward to help the actor, he and his family had refused to take any help.
It is said that it was Sadashiv's request not to tell anyone about his death. Thus the film industry came to know about the death only after the last rites were performed at Banashakari crematorium in Bengaluru.
Sadashiv Brahmavar has acted with legendary actors like Dr Rajkumar, Vishnuvardhan, Ambarish, Shivarajkumar, Ravichandran, Upendra, Jaggesh, Puneeth Rajkumar, Sudeep, Darshan and others.
