Second death in year mars Mahanadi Kannada serial

For the crew of Mahanadi Kannada serial, Rachana's death on August 24 came as a shocker. She died along with Jeevan, the Majabharatha actor while five others accompanying them to Kukke Subramanya Temple were injured.

This is the second shocking news to the Mahanadi team, as senior actress Padma Kumta had died on the sets of Mahanadi in March this year. She died of heart attack on the sets.

Padma Kumta was 58, and she suffered a cardiac arrest in the sets of the serial, she breathed her last on the way to the hospital.

Rachana, one of the lead female actors of Mahanadi, which is being screened on Zee Kannada, died in an accident at 2 am on August 24, when the TATA Safari driven by the Majabharata actor Jeevan rammed into a halted tractor at Solur in Malur district.

Someone even commented on the Facebook Post of thee Kannada which put up a post in tribute to Rachana that the left side of the actress's face was completely damaged. She and Jeevan died on the spot, whereas, the other four Karthik, Uttham, Ranjith, Honnesh suffered minor injuries were treated at a private hospital.
