Bengaluru to get four more days of rain: Met dept

City to get 4 more days of rain Metrology Department forecast

The rain that had given a break of five days lashed the City again on Saturday and Sunday. The Meteorology Department has forecast another four more days of rain, reports Kannada Prabha.

On Saturday, Peenya Industrial Estate received 7 mm rain. Heavy rain was also reported from Nagenahalli in Hebbal - 4 mm, HMT Ward - 10.5 mm, Vidyapeetha - 2.5 mm, Sampangirama Nagara - 7 mm. On Sunday, Anekal registered 15 mm of rain, Yelahanka 17 mm, Yeshwantpur 17 mm, Kodige Hali 20 mm, Dasarahalli 13 mm, Peenya 15 mm, KR Pura 17 mm, Horamavu 17 mm and Radhakrishna temple ward 17 mm. Most of the roads were flooded causing great inconvenience to commuters.

Last week due to heavy rains, a tennis court at Housing Board Colony was inundated where water stood up to 4 feet and the public had expressed the fear of contagious diseases. Following public protests, Mayor G Padmavathi visited the spot and arranged to drain out the water using pumps. She also went to the Control Room at BBMP Central office and attended to public grievances.
