- The victim has returned to her hometown after filing the complaint

The victim, who had come to Bengaluru in search of a job hails from North India. According to the details available now, she was allegedly raped by a man called Rakesh, inside a car on the night of March 30 between 12.30am and 5.30am and the car driver Rajappa of sexually harassed her. Victim has also stated in her complaint that she was sexually harassed by another car driver and a man named Narasimha had sexually assaulted her on April 10.
She has filed a complaint with the Koramangala police in this regard after more than 20 days of the incident. Sources said that she has completed the complaint procedure and also has taken the medical tests. However, owing to shock and mental trauma, she has left for her native place. The result of the medical tests is awaited.
The accused Rakesh, Rajappa, Narasimha and the car driver are still at large, and the police are trying to nab them.
Details of the case are awaited as so far there is no information available whether the victim knew the accused. Further action in this gang rape case will be taken after the medical reports of the tests arrive.
Some days ago, a similar case was filed at Madiwala, and the police are trying to see if there is any similarity between the two incidents.
