Accident at an ox race leaves one animal with its forelegs broken

An ox racing event in Shirahatti, Gadag, ended in tragedy after an ox broke two of its forelegs. While the race was on, the animal tried to jump over a rider who had fallen on his track. While landing, the ox's forelegs hit the ground hard and broke. It was visibly in pain and was being cared for by the upset spectators. The ox's owner Yellappa, who had ten of his oxen competing in the race, rushed to help the animal.
