- People who overheard conversation attacked two.

The debate of demonetisation is not limited among financial experts. It has created a clear division between those who uphold it and who criticise it. Even this division is not confined to debate and arguments.
In Mumbai, a group attacked two men, who praised PM Modi’s demonetisation. The youth suffered severe injuries when a fight took place between him and his acquaintances while debating on demonetisation in Ghatkopar, Mumbai.
Ajay Trimukhe, the victim, was assaulted by two other youths Deepak Dhede (30) and Trambak Adagle (25) when he was trying to explain the benefits of demonetisation. His hands and his face are severely injured.
Ajay was drinking with his friend Rawat at a local bar. At that time two men overheard their conversation and started to argue that the government’s move was wrong. When Ajay tried to explain to them the long run benefits of demonetisation, they could not tolerate his explanation and attacked him. One of them pushed him while another person hit him on the face with a beer bottle.
Luckily Ajay managed to avert the hit and got away with a small cut on his face.
His friend Rawat, also has sustained injuries on his hand. Immediately the two reported the matter to the police.
"Following the complaint, an FIR was registered in the matter. We have arrested two people," said a police officer from Ghatkopar police station. The two accused are now in judicial custody.
