On the second day of Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visit, he took part in various apolitical program in Visva-Bharati. Soon after, the Trinamool Congress accused the BJP of infiltrating politics in traditional educational institutions.
In this situation, Birbhum district president Anubrata Mandal pointed finger at the Vice-Chancellor of Visva-Bharati. He accused that Visva-Bharati authorities are entering into politics.
Aiming at the Vice-Chancellor of Visva-Bharati, Anubrata said, “He cannot take advantage of his post and do whatever he feels like. If he gets involved in the crazy act of the BJP, I will not give up. I will enter Visva-Bharati and hang the TMC flag.”
“I have not done politics with Visva-Bharati for so long. I will do it now. If the VC does not give up madness, I will go to Visva-Bharati and put up the flag. The Home Minister can come to Visva-Bharati one hundred times. But he shouldn’t do politics there, “he added.
On Sunday (December 20), Amit Shah did a roadshow in Bolpur. On the same day, the Trinamool ‘Bangadhwani Jatra’ took place in different parts of Bolpur. Birbhum district president Anubrat Mandal led the procession.
Anubrata claimed that many people from outside were brought to the roadshow. Meanwhile, Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee said that she would hold a meeting in Bolpur on December 29. However, it is not yet clear whether the Trinamool leader will hold a roadshow at the same place where Amit Shah did.
