The famous Tiger Temple in Thailand is in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. Around forty dead tiger cubs were found stored in a freezer in Pha Luang Ta Bua, a Buddhist site widely known as the Tiger Temple in Thailand on Monday.

According to reports, body parts of other animals were also found in the freezer along with the corpses of the tiger cubs. However, representatives of the temple had a different story to tell “We have declared all the deaths to the officials over years. They’ve known about these carcases for a long time,” said Supitpong Pakdjarung, a former police colonel who runs the temple’s business operation.
The monks of this famous Tiger Temple have long been accused of abusing the animals by not taking proper care of the endangered species. According to animal activists in the country, the tigers were under-fed.
Of the 137 tigers, 52 live tigers have been moved leaving 85 cats behind. Kanchanaburi site is a hotspot for tourists from around the world. The authorities have now been ordered to shut the Tiger Temple after the freaking incident has come to light.
