Medical education minister shares video of mass gathering, calls for action against violators

Bengaluru: Karnataka medical education minister Dr Sudhakar K took to Twitter to share a video of a mass gathering in Bengaluru. He also requested authorities to take action against the people in the video as the nation is under lockdown to curb the spread of coronavirus.
The tweet reads, "Disturbing visuals of mass gathering in Bengaluru Rural. Unfortunate that some people are risking their lives and that of everyone else by such wilful violation of lockdown guidelines. This is dangerous and unacceptable. Urge Home Min @BSBommai to take action. @CMofKarnataka."
In the video it can be seen people were gathered and did not maintain social distancing norms and were without masks. The 45 seconds video was widely shared on social media
Karnataka reported 14 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, taking the tally to 862 in the state. This includes three from Davangere, two each in Bagalkote and Bidar, one each from Hassan, Mandya, Bengaluru, Haveri, Vijayapura and Kalaburagi. One case from neighbouring Anantapur district in Andhra Pradesh is classified as others, according to the daily bulletin of the health department.
