West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wished speedy recovery to BJP national president J P Nadda, who has tested positive for COVID-19.
Mamata Banerjee tweeted on Sunday (December 13), “Heard about BJP National President Shri @JPNadda testing positive for COVID-19. Wishing him a speedy recovery and good health. My prayers are with him and his family during this time.”
On Sunday, JP Nadda announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and said that he is currently into home isolation.
Nadda tweeted, "After experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, I got myself tested, post which I received a positive report. My health condition is fine and I am under home isolation following doctors' advice. I request whoever came in contact with me during the last few days, to isolate themselves and get tested."
It is worth mentioning that Nadda had just visited Bengal and was diagonised with COVID-19 before he could return.

In his two-day visit to Bengal, Nadda's convoy was attacked in Diamond Harbour. Kailash Vijayavargi's car along with Nadda’s car was vandalized. Stones were hurled on them. Many were severely injured in the incident.
The incident caused a political tiff between the TMC and BJP.
