Investigators recovered Arjun's skeleton from the roof of his house. Police interrogated Arjun's mother Geeta Mohensaria and his younger brother. After the interrogation, police arrested both of them.

After the arrest of the accused, the Bidhannagar police station and the intelligence department started a joint investigation. Preliminary investigation suggests that Arjun’s mother and younger brother tried to burn his body after killing him.

Police went to the spot on Monday (December 14) and collected samples. On Tuesday (December 15), the police reconstructed the incident with the two accused.
