Karnataka minister Byrati Basavaraj tests positive for Covid-19
Karnataka Urban Development Minister Byrati Basavaraj has tested positive for COVID-19. The minister has said that he has no health issues and is recovering well.
Bengaluru: Karnataka Urban Development minister Byrati Basavaraj on Monday, September 14, announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
The minister has stated that he has no other health issues and is undergoing treatment in a hospital for COVID-19.
The minister made the announcement on his Twitter handle stating "I have been confirmed Covid positive today. I have no health issues. On the advice of the doctors I have got admitted to hospital and undergoing treatment".

Basavaraj Byrati is the new addition to the list of ministers in the Yediyurappa Cabinet who had tested positive for the coronavirus infection.
Earlier, Animal Husbandry minister Prabhu Chavan, Labour minister A Shivaram Hebbar, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj minister KS Eshwarappa and Women and Child Development Minister Shashikala Jolle had tested positive for COVID-19.
Last month, chief minister of Karnataka Yediyurappa, Health minister B Sriramulu, Tourism minister CT Ravi, Agriculture minister BC Patil, Forest minister Anand Singh were among those who had also tested positive for COVID-19 and have now recovered.
