Haryana: Four dead after 3-storey rice mill collapses in Karnal, several feared trapped
Speaking to a news agency, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Karnal, Anish Yadav said, "A total of 24 people have been affected out of which 20 are injured and four are dead. Around 150 workers were inside the building when the incident took place. The injured have been admitted to a hospital."
FollowAs many as four people lost their lives after a 3-storeyed rice mill in Karnal, Haryana collapsed on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. It is reportedly said that several workers are feared trapped.
The incident occurred at a mill in Taraori, Karnal. A few workers who slept at the mill are feared to be trapped under the rubble, reports said.

It is reportedly said that nearly 160 laborers were sleeping in the building and an investigation will be done against the owner.
SP Shashank Sawan said that two teams have been formed to investigate the mishap, including one from the NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) and the administration is in contact with them.

"Prima facie, we found that the building had some defects. A committee will be formed to investigate the incident. Legal action will be taken against the rice mill owners," he added.
Meanwhile, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are expected to reach the spot.
