What can the patients have when they are admitted to a hospital with symptoms of coronavirus? Here is what patients of Kerala's Kalamassery Medical College are having today.
Menu for Indians:
7.30 am: Dosa, sambar, 2 eggs, 2 oranges, tea, 1-litre mineral water
10:30 am: Fruit juice
12:00 pm: 2 chapatis, rice, fish fry, thoran, curry, curd, 1-litre mineral water
3:30 pm: Tea, biscuits/banana fry/vada
7:00 pm: Appam, veg stew, 2 bananas, 1-litre mineral water
Tuesday’s menu for foreign nationals:
7.30 am: Soup, fruits (raw cucumber, orange or banana), 2 boiled eggs
11:00 am: Pineapple juice
12:00 pm: Toasted bread, cheese (if needed) fruits
4:00 pm: Fruit juice
7 pm: Toasted bread, scrambled eggs, fruits
Milk for children will also be provided to those who need it, officials say.
According to reports, the food for the patients are arranged from the hostel mess of Kalamassery Medical College and is being arranged by the Department of Information and Public Relations in Kerala.
30 people have been isolated at hospitals in Ernakulam. While 23 people are in Kalamassery Medical College and seven are at Muvattupuzha General Hospital.
The cost of accommodation and food for the patients are being borne by the Kerala health department. Three more cases of coronavirus were reported from the state on Monday evening, taking the total number of cases in the state to 24.
