Phoolram and his family from Dhorimanna village in Barmer, Rajasthan had a pet cat, which has vanished with their gold. Even the cops are struggling to solve this rarest of rare cases.
Here is the story.
Phoolram and his family treated the cat as a member of their family. But perhaps their love went a bit overboard.
As they later reported, they wanted to have a photo shoot of the cat, and in bizarre choice, decided to deck the kitty out in some family jewels.
Not just some gold mind you, but quite a significant share of the family's collection.
The newly-minted fashionista of a cat, laden with gold jewellery, soon posed for a few photographs. The happy family then became engrossed in the digital photos, getting lost in the beauty of their pet.
Apparently, at some point they decided to click some more pictures of this dearest of cats, only to discover, to their shock, that the cat was nowhere to be found.
The searched their home and later expanded their search, with the help of neighbours, to the entire locality.
Unsurprisingly, the news of a bejewelled cat ready to bring a windfall to whomsoever managed to catch it spread quite fast and soon, the entire village was searching for Dhorimanna's golden kitty.
The issue eventually reached the local police station, when the family filed a complaint. It is not clear if the family filed a case for a missing cat or the missing gold.
