BJP pursuing communal politics in West Bengal: Mamata Banerjee

 West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the BJP was pursuing 'communal politics' in West Bengal. Taking a dig at the BJP, Mamata Banerjee said that the party which doesn't respect Mahatma Gandhi is talking about building Sonar Bangla.

Speaking at a rally in Bolpur, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the BJP was pursuing 'communal politics' in West Bengal.

Taking a dig at the BJP, Mamata Banerjee said that the party which doesn't respect Mahatma Gandhi is talking about building Sonar Bangla.

The CM said, “I feel bad when I see efforts being made to pursue communal politics at Visva-Bharati. The Visva Bharati centenary event was chaired by PM Narendra Modi. I received the invitation late.”

Ahead of the Chief Minister's visit, Minister of State Indranil Sen reached Bolpur on Sunday (December 27) to check the preparations of the roadshow. He attended the rehearsals of the singers who will be performing during the roadshow.

Indranil Sen said that the Trinamool Congress is making an attempt to highlight the thoughts and ideas of Rabindranath Tagore through music and songs.

According to reports, Mamata Banerjee has taken a two-day program in Birbhum-Bolpur to win the hearts of the people of West Bengal.
