Bengaluru Rural MP DK Suresh tests positive for COVID-19
Bengaluru Rural Lok Sabha MP DK Suresh tested positive for COVID-19 on October 6.
Bengaluru: On October 6, Bengaluru Rural Lok Sabha MP DK Suresh confirmed that he tested positive for coronavirus. Suresh tweeted, "I request friends and family who have been in contact with me to test themselves. I also request the CBI officials and media friends who were with me to do the same."
He also added that he is asymptomatic and is under isolation after obtaining the COVID-19 positive test result.
On Monday, the Congress leader’s residences and other locations were raided by officers of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Karnataka has 1,15,496 active cases. While 5,22,846 patients have been cured in the state, the disease has claimed 9,370 lives so far.
Chief minister BS Yediyurappa, health minister B Sriramulu, forest minister Anand Singh, tourism minister CT Ravi, agriculture minister BC Patil, leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah and KPCC president DK Shivakumar are among those who tested positive for the virus and recovered.Â
