Bengaluru Metro Green Line services to close an hour early for 2 days

Bengaluru’s Green Line metro services will be disrupted this weekend. The green line services will close early by an hour on Saturday and Sunday (19, 20 September). Trains to be shut early for testing a new line.

Bengaluru: The Green Line services of Namma Metro will close an hour earlier than usual on Saturday and Sunday.

The trains will stop service early as the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) will begin testing systems and trains on the extension.

A statement from the BMRCL said, “Train services on the Green Line between RV Road to Yelachenahalli will be closed one hour before the normal closing time which is 8:00 pm on Saturday, 19 September 2020 and Sunday, 20 September, 2020.”

The Green Line which runs between Yelachenahalli and Nagasandra is now getting a new extension line from Yelachenahalli to Anjanapura, which will be tested this weekend.

Metro services along the Green Line between RV Road and Yelachenahalli will end at 8pm instead of 9pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The last train will leave Yelachenahalli at 8 pm and the last train will leave Nagasandra Metro Station at 6:56 pm. Between 8 pm and 9pm, metro services will be available only between Nagasandra and RV Road metro stations.

For passengers taking  the Purple Line (Baiyappanahalli to Mysuru Road), and changing to Green Line at Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station, the last train they can take from Baiyappanahalli is at 6:56pm and for those travelling from Mysuru Road, the last interchange train would be at 7pm.
