Left-Congress alliance all set to defeat TMC, BJP in West Bengal: Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury

Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Sunday said that the Left-Congress alliance will defeat both the TMC and the BJP in the upcoming Bengal polls.

The Left-Congress alliance held a joint rally at the Brigade Parade Ground on Sunday (February 28). Supporters gathered by the lakhs to support the alliance.

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, “The massive gathering at the rally proves that the upcoming elections will not be a two-cornered contest. We are ready to give a tough fight to the TMC and BJP.”

“In future, there will not be any BJP or TMC, only the grand alliance will remain,” he added.

The rally was attended by prominent leaders like the Indian Secular Front (ISF) chief Abbas Siddiqui, Chattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury and West Bengal Left Front chairman Biman Bose.

Indian Secular Front head Abbas Siddiqui said that the alliance would defeat BJP and "its B-team Mamata Banerjee". He also said that the ruling TMC has unleashed anarchy upon the state for which they would have to pay the price in the upcoming polls.
