Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday (December 20) said that the 'Ma, Mati aur Manush' slogan of the TMC is non-existent now. He alleged that the TMC has become a family party now.

At a press conference, Amit Shah said, “The TMC started with 'Ma, Mati aur Manush' slogan. But this slogan holds no importance now. TMC is limited to being a family party today.”

“Instead of being concerned about the people of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee is concerned about making her nephew the chief minister of West Bengal," he added.

Amit Shah claimed that the ruling party in West Bengal has set three new trends in the state. These includes, politicisation of administration, complete criminalisation of politics, and institutionalisation of corruption.

The union home minister requested the people of Bengal to join forces with BJP's 'Aar noi anyay' (no more injustice) campaign and support PM Narendra Modi.

While speaking about the farmers, Shah said, “the state government should give the money to the farmers which were given by the central government.”

Shah attacked the TMC government for not passing on the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana to the common people in West Bengal.

On Saturday (December 19), over 10 TMC MLAs apart from former minister Suvendu Adhikari joined the BJP in the presence of Amit Shah.

Assembly polls in Bengal are scheduled in May-June next year.
