Amarnath Yatra 2023: The 62-day-long yatra will start from the two routes on July 1 and conclude on August 31. Here's how you can register yourself, know fees and other details.
The annual yatra, or pilgrimage, to the Amarnath shrine in the south Kashmir Himalayas, will start on July 1 after registration opens on April 17. he schedule of the pilgrimage was decided at the 44th meeting of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) chaired by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at the Raj Bhavan. The 62-day period will come to an end on August 31, 2023, the Union Territory administration announced on Friday.
On the yatra's official website, www.jksasb.nic.in, participants can register. According to the administration's criteria, participants in the Amarnath Yatra 2023 must be 13 to 70 years old.
Online and offline registration options are available for the yatra.
Here's how you sign up online for the Amarnath Yatra in 2023.
Step 1: Visit the SASB's official website, www.jksasb.nic.in.
Step 2: Locate the "Online Services" tab, click on it, and then choose the "Register" option.
Step 3: A new page will open where you must enter all the pilgrims' information.
Step 4: Submit. An OTP will be given to the specified phone number for verification when you click the submit button.

Step 6: The applicant will receive an SMS stating that their application is being processed.
Step 7: Pay the necessary application costs in step 7 and submit.
Step 8: Download and store the "Yatra Permit" for further use.
The SASB mobile application, which can be downloaded from the Google Play store, also allows users to register online for the Amarnath Yatra.
For offline registration: Visit one of the specified Punjab National Bank, SBI, Jammu & Kashmir Bank, or Yes Bank bank offices to register in advance for the yearly yatra.
Registration fees
For registrations made through bank branches, the advance registration fee is Rs 120 per pilgrim. Per pilgrim, there is a charge of Rs. 220 for online registration.
The registration price for NRI pilgrims is Rs. 1520 per pilgrim, and registration will be handled through PNB branches.
