After Suvendu Adhikari, Rajib Banerjee likely to join BJP

BJP MP Saumitra Khan claimed that seven to eight TMC MLAs from Howrah can join the BJP. The list includes Forest Minister Rajib Banerjee and TMC leader Arup Roy.

At Amit Shah's meeting in Midnapore, a group of TMC leaders, including Suvendu Adhikari, joined the BJP. Since then, there has been speculation that a few more leaders of the ruling party may enroll in the BJP.

Meanwhile, TMC leader Rajib Banerjee has made dissenting remarks against the party. His followers have put up posters bearing his picture and Suvendu Adhikari’s picture together. In this situation, the names of two ministers of the TMC were heard in the mouth of BJP leader Saumitra Khan. Speculation has started in the political arena that two TMC leaders will join the BJP.

Soumitra Khan said, “Arup Roy or Rajiv Bandyopadhyay. Either of these two could join the BJP soon.” Khan's explosive remarks have intensified the speculation. 

Soumitra Khan claimed that seven to eight TMC MLAs from Howrah can join the BJP. Several TMC leaders and ministers have already opened their mouths against the party. The list includes Forest Minister Rajib Banerjee.

West Bengal Education minister Partha Chatterjee has held several meetings with him to resolve the issue. In this situation, the political experts think that Soumitra Khan's remarks have added a positive side to the speculation.
