After 4 years jail and being called fake this is what Asaram Bapu rightfully realised

Self-proclaimed godman Asaram Bapu made no haste in declaring himself what he rightfully is. After being denounced neither as a saint nor as a preacher by an important association of Hindu Saints, he was heard saying that he belonged to the donkey category.

Now 76, Asaram was jailed on allegations of raping a teen girl at his ashram in Jodhpur in 2013. He has been in jail since then and close to seven requests for bail have been turned down. Yesterday, when he was produced in front of the court for a hearing, he was asked by a reporter about how he felt when Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad called him fake and dismissed him as a saint or a preacher.

"The category of donkeys", he said angrily as he descended from the trial court where he appears daily for hearings. Last week, the Akhil Bhartiya Akhara Parishad, which comprises of 14 akharas of sants and sadhus has recently come up with a list of fake babas in order to warn people from being misled. Among the list includes Asaram Bapu and his son Narayan Sai who is in jail in Gujarat on charges of repeatedly raping one of his father's disciples between 2002 and 2005.
