Union Minister Shripad Naik out of danger; wife, aide killed in car crash

Union Minister Shripad Naik, whose car met with an accident in Karnataka while returning after offering prayers at Yellapur's famous Gante Ganesha Temple on Monday night, is out of danger and in a stable condition.

For now, there is no need to shift him to Delhi for treatment," Sawant added.<br />&nbsp;</p><p>The Union Minister of State for AYUSH (independent charge) was returning after offering prayers at Yellapur's famous Gante Ganesha Temple when his vehicle met with the accident.</p>

<p>Cabinet colleague and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted that he was "shocked and extremely saddened by the news of the Minister of State for Defense Shri Shripad Naik being injured in a road accident".&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;</p><p>"I have had a conversation with the Chief Minister of Goa, Shri Pramod Sawant. The State Government is properly managing the treatment of Shripadji. Pray to God that Shripadji is healthy soon," he posted.</p>
