Union Minister Shripad Naik out of danger; wife, aide killed in car crash
Union Minister Shripad Naik, whose car met with an accident in Karnataka while returning after offering prayers at Yellapur's famous Gante Ganesha Temple on Monday night, is out of danger and in a stable condition.
<p>The Union minister's wife, Vijaya Naik and his close aide succumbed to injuries received in the accident that occurred in a village in Karnataka's Uttara Kannada district<br /> </p><p>Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant told media persons that all health parameters of the Union Minister were stable and that he was undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of Goa Medical College. </p>

<p>"He is out of danger and his health condition is stable. Two minor surgeries would be performed on him. <p>Cabinet colleague and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted that he was "shocked and extremely saddened by the news of the Minister of State for Defense Shri Shripad Naik being injured in a road accident". <br /> </p><p>"I have had a conversation with the Chief Minister of Goa, Shri Pramod Sawant. The State Government is properly managing the treatment of Shripadji. Pray to God that Shripadji is healthy soon," he posted.</p>
