International Yoga Day 2021: President, Vice President and PM Modi's ministers practice Yoga
The world is celebrating the 7th International Yoga Day. President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and members of the Narendra Modi cabinet led by example to highlight the benefits of Yoga.
President Ram Nath Kovind: "Our ancient seers' vision of bringing mind-body together to achieve holistic health and happiness has benefited millions over millennia. One of India's great gifts to the world, it can be especially helpful during Covid-19."
Vice President Venkaiah Naidu said, "Let us resolve to brighten our lives physically, mentally and spiritually by practising Yoga every day."
Union Minister of State for AYUSH, Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju practices Yoga on the International Day of Yoga 2021.
Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel Dharmendra Pradhan said in a tweet, "Yoga -- the union of body, mind, and soul is the ideal way of life. I call upon all my friends, especially the young to embrace #YogaForWellness, Yoga for a healthy living."
Minister of Electronics & Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad urged everyone to take a resolution to practice Yoga every day with family members.
Union Minister of Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said, "Along with medicine, meditation has also played an important role to ensure good health and well being of the people during Corona pandemic."
Environment and Information & Broadcasting minister Prakash Javadekar said, Morning shows the day, and Yoga morning brightens the day with positive energy. Make Yoga a part of daily routine."
