Coronavirus: India reports 43,733 new cases and 930 deaths in 24 hours; daily positivity rate at 2.29%
India has reported 43,733 fresh cases of Covid-19 and 930 deaths in the last 24 hours.
India reported 43,733 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, quite higher than Saturday's 34,703, and added 930 deaths.
The total infection tally stands at 3,06,63,665, while the active cases further declined to 4,59,920, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Wednesday. The death toll climbed to 4,04,211 with 930 daily fatalities.
The active cases have further declined to 4,59,920 and comprise 1.50% of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate has improved to 97.18%, the data updated at 8 am showed.
Total recoveries touched 2,97,99,534, including 47,240 patients who recovered during the last 24 hours. As per the ministry, the daily recoveries continued to outnumber the daily new cases for the 55th consecutive day.
Also, 19,07,216 tests were conducted on Tuesday taking the total cumulative tests conducted so far for detection of Covid-19 in the country to 42,33,32,097.
Over 36 lakh vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. The total doses administered in the country has exceeded 36.13 crore so far, the health ministry said.
