Coronavirus: India logs 34,403 fresh COVID-19 cases, recovery rate at 97.65%

FollowIndia recorded 34,403 new coronavirus cases and 320 deaths in the last 24 hours, which pushed the country’s overall tally of infections to 3,33,81,728, according to the Union Health Ministry on Friday.

The active cases tally stands at 1,86,190 and accounts for 1.02% of the overall cases in the country. Kerala has more than one lakh active cases, and only Maharashtra has over 50,000 active cases.
A total of 26,563 were discharged on Wednesday, which brought the total recoveries to 42,36,309. The national Covid-19 recovery rate was recorded at 97.65%, the ministry said.
So far, India has administered a total of 76,57,17,137 doses of the coronavirus vaccine, under the nationwide vaccination drive.
