Coronavirus: India logs 32,937 new cases; over 54.58 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered

India on Monday reported 32,937 daily new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry data.

India reported 32,937 new coronavirus cases and 417 fatalities taking the cumulative caseload to 3,22,25,513 and death toll to 4,31,642, according to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Monday.

The total active cases of Covid-19 in India stood at 3,81,947, even as active cases declined by 3,389 in the last 24 hours.

The country saw a total of 35,909 discharges on Sunday taking the total recoveries tally to 3,14,11,924 across the country.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) data, 49,48,05,652 samples were tested up to August 15. Of which 11,81,212 samples were tested on Sunday for Covid-19.

Cumulatively, India administered 17,43,114 doses of Covid vaccine in the last 24 hours, pushing the total tally of doses administered to 54,58,57,108.
