Coronavirus: India logs 30,941 fresh COVID-19 cases, active cases decline to 3.7 lakh

India on Monday reported 30,941 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry data.

India saw a single-day rise of 30,941 new Covid-19 infections, pushing the country’s overall Covid-19 tally to 32,768,880. According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry, 350 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 4,38,560.

In the last 24 hours, active cases in the country declined by 5,684 and total active cases decreased to 3,70,640, comprises 1.13% of the total infections.

India saw a total of 36,275 discharges in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 3,19,59,680 and total recovery rate at around 97.51%.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) data, 13,94,573 samples were tested on Monday and 52,15,41,098 samples have been tested up to August 30 for Covid-19.

A total of 64.05 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far across the country, under the nationwide vaccination drive against Covid-19.
