Coronavirus: India clocks 26,115 new COVID-19 cases, active cases lowest in 184 days
India on Tuesday reported 26,115 new cases, 252 deaths as per Health Ministry's updated bulletin.
India on Monday recorded 26,115 new Covid-19 cases, pushing the total tally of Covid-19 cases to 33,504,534, along with 252 deaths, which took the death toll to 4,45,385, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Tuesday.
The active case tally at present stands at 3,09,575 with a decline of 8,606 cases in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry data showed. The active cases account for 0.92% of total cases, lowest since March 2020.
Meanwhile, total recoveries have jumped to 3,27,49,574 with 34,469 recoveries in the last 24 hours. The total recovery rate stands at around 97.75%.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) data, 55,50,35,717 samples have been tested up to September 20th for Covid-19. Of these 14,13,951 samples were tested on Monday.
India has so far administered a cumulative total of 81.85 crore doses, under the nationwide vaccination drive, according to the ministry.
