Cristiano Ronaldo scripts yet another goal-scoring record, eyes a prolific one next
Cristiano Ronaldo has time and again displayed his goal-scoring prowess and scripted copious records to his name, thus justifying the tags of 'Portuguese sensation'. He keeps scripting and breaking records with each passing game and goal, as he has recently done so again.

Portuguese football sensation Cristiano Ronaldo is undoubtedly a modern-day legend. His charismatic football skills and goal-scoring abilities indeed justify his stardom, while his records speak for himself.

Speaking of records, Ronaldo has infinite ones to his name while he keeps generating with each passing game and goal. Recently, he attained another one for himself.

Ronaldo scored a goal in Juventus's 2-1 win over Napoli on Thursday. Owing to his goal, he scored the 773rd goal of his professional career, thus going past legendary Brazilian Romario's tally of 772 professional goals.

Meanwhile, he has now set his eyes on a more prolific record. Ronaldo is now eying Josef Bican's record of 805 professional goals.

Bican, the late legendary Austrian-Czech striker, had played for six senior clubs and three international sides (Austria, Czechoslovakia & Bohemia and Moravia). Although statistically, he has scored 948 goals, Fédération Internationale de Football Association's official recognition happens to be 805.

As of now, Ronaldo needs just 32 more to match Bican and 33 to surpass him. While he looks well set to do so, it would be fascinating to see if it happens in Turin or some other club.

Ronaldo is currently the highest goal-scorer for the 2020-21 Serie A. However, his poor outing with Juventus in the UEFA Champions League this season and getting knocked out in the pre-quarters has led to reports linking him to move away from the club, with the Portuguese still having a year in his contract left.
