ATK Mohaun Bagan is preparing hard for its AFC Cup 2021 campaign. Meanwhile, club head coach Antonio Lopez Habas has come up with all the respect for Bengaluru FC ahead of their opening clash.

The AFC Cup 2021 kick starts soon, with Indian Super League clubs ATK Mohun Bagan and Bengaluru FC participating in it. Ahead of the same, ATKMB is leaving no stones unturned in preparations as it takes on its ISL rivals in its tournament’s opening game.

Meanwhile, ahead of the clash, ATKMB head coach Antonio Lopez Habas praised Bengaluru and stated that he and the entire team respect Bengaluru FC. “Bengaluru has signed a number of new foreign footballers. The coaching staff has also changed. As a result, there has been a difference regarding the strength. The match will be very tough. The biggest thing is that we know each other and have played a lot of matches. If we want to win, we have to fight till the last minute,” told Habas to ATKMB.

“The results of the past matches will remain history. In reality, every match is a new challenge. It is a new environment, a new field. We have to adapt quickly. The fate of the match will depend a lot on all this. Most of all, it’s an international tournament. Everyone will desperately try to establish themselves,” he added.

The AFC Cup 2021 is being played in the Maldives. Meanwhile, ATKMB had players like David Williams, Amarinder Singh, Pritam Kotal, Shubhasish Bose and many more who attended the practice session on Sunday evening on artificial grass that is the international standard currently.
