Try avoiding calorie-laden sweets, which will increase your chances of getting health issues.
We are not telling you to skip the Diwali sweets, but surely you can add a healthy twist to the same, which will not make you feel guilty. Opt for a milk-based dessert-like shrikhand, rabri, sandesh, mishti doi which can be made without a lot of hassle.
Replace sugar with dry fruits

Instead of having Kaju Katlii go for Badam Katli or choose Besan Ladoo, which has a high source of protein. You can also try some unconventional sweets like Dates Sesame Ladoo, Oats Dates Nut Ladoo, Walnut Ladoo, Methi Kheer, Dudhi Kheer, Apple Sheera, Fruit Kheer, Papaya Halwa, Beetroot Halwa, Carrot Kalakand, Oats Pancakes with Cranberry Syrup or Blueberry Syrup or Chocolate Syrup, homemade protein bars, Apple Pie, Pumpkin Pie, fruit Yogurt, seeds Chikki (Pumpkin/ Sunflower/ Flaxseed), if you are really health conscious.
