TMC MP Sisir Adhikari removed as party’s district president

TMC Lok Sabha MP Sisir Adhikari was removed from the post of East Midnapore district president on Wednesday (January 13).
Senior TMC minister Soumen Mahapatra replaced Sisir Adhikari, who was made chairman of the core committee of the party's district unit.
On Tuesday (January 12), Sisir Adhikari was removed from the post of chairman of Digha-Shankarpur Development Authority.
Suvendu Adhikari who joined the BJP last month lashed out at the TMC after his father was removed from the post of chairman.
TMC MLA Akhil Giri replaced Sishir Adhikari as the chief of DSDA, which is responsible for the upkeep and development of the beach town in East Midnapore.
Ever since Suvendu and Soumendu Adhikari joined the BJP there were speculations in political circles that Sisir Adhikari might be removed from the post of president of the TMC's East Midnapore district unit.
