Coronavirus: Prisoners being treated for COVID-19 go missing from hospital
A prison ward has been created in Gandhi Hospital to lodge prisoners who are infected with coronavirus
Prisoners undergoing treatment for coronavirus have gone missing from the prison ward of the state-run Gandhi Hospital in Telangana.
The four prisoners were admitted to hospital over the past 15 days, after testing positive for COVID-19.
The four prisoners who are missing from the prison ward are two undertrials and two convicts.
Police officials told the media that searches are under way. He added that they are trying to find out if they jumped over the compound wall of the hospital.
More than 1,000 coronavirus patients are currently undergoing treatment at the Gandhi Hospital in different wards.
