Bihar portfolio allocation: CM Nitish Kumar keeps home dept; DyCM Tarkishore gets Finance
A 14-member council of ministers, headed by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, was sworn in at the oath-taking ceremony in Patna in the presence of the Governor
Nitish Kumar, the Janata Dal United president who took oath as Bihar Chief Minister for the fourth straight term yesterday, distributed the portfolios among his new council of ministers. The decision for portfolio distribution was taken on Tuesday during the meeting of the new cabinet ministers.
Two Deputy Chief Minister-designates Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi were among those who were administered the oath of office on Monday.

Tarkishore Prasad - Deputy CM - Finance, Commercial Taxes, Environment and Forest, IT, Disaster Management, Urban Development
Renu Devi – Deputy CM - Panchayati Raj, Backward caste upliftment and EBC welfare, Industry
Vijay Chaudhary: Rural Engineering Department, Ruler development department water resources, Information and broadcasting, Parliamentary affairs
Amrendra Singh – BJP: Agriculture, Cooperative, Sugar cane
Ram Preet Paswan – BJP: Public Health Engineering Department
Jivesh Kumar – BJP: Tourism, Labour, Mines
Ram Surat – BJP: Revenue, Law
Ashok Chowdhary: Minority and Social Welfare Department, Building Construction Department
Bijendra Yadav - JD(U): Energy, Prohibition, Planning, Food and consumer affairs
