Bengal BJP seeks permission for Parivartan Yatra from district-level administration
The Bengal BJP on Thursday (February 4) sought permission from the district administration of Nadia, Murshidabad and North 24 Parganas for the 'Rath Yatra’ that is scheduled to start from Nabadwip on Saturday (February 6).
BJP’s national president J P Nadda will reach Nabadwip on Saturday afternoon to inaugurate the ‘Paribartan Yatra’.
According to sources, BJP's yatras will be flagged off from the party’s five organisational zones and pass through every Assembly constituency in the state. The West Bengal Legislative Assembly has 294 seats.
BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya said that Home Minister Amit Shah will visit the state next week to take part in the Rath yatra.
West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh said, “We will invite the Prime Minister at conclusion of last Rath yatra. We have asked the West Bengal government for permission to conduct these Rath yatras. If they don't allow, we might go to court.”
PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Haldia in West Bengal on February 7. He will inaugurate multi-crore infrastructure projects.
