Amit Shah visits Swami Vivekananda's house
Union home minister Amit Shah visited Swami Vivekananda’s house in North Kolkata on Saturday (December 19) morning.
Coming to Vivekananda's house, Amit Shah said, “I am very fortunate to visit the birthplace of Swami Vivekananda. Swamiji in his young age has spread the knowledge, culture, philosophy of India all over the world. He acquainted the entire world with universal brotherhood through his speech at the parliament of religions in USA. He tied modernism with spiritualism.”
BJP leaders such as national vice president Mukul Roy, state president Dilip Ghosh and national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya were there with Shah during his visit to Swami Vivekananda’s house.
Amit Shah arrived in Kolkata on Friday (December 18) night. He landed at Kolkata Airport and spent the night at a hotel in Newtown.
Suvendu Adhikari is going to be one of the attractions of Amit Shah's meeting on Saturday. It is being speculated that he could join the BJP during Shah’s visit.
Amit Shah will visit two districts, address a rally, hold a road show, have lunch with families of a farmer, and visit Visva Bharati in Santiniketan during his two-day visit in Bengal.
