Kerala Police have arrested the main accused in Mollywood actress Shamna Kasim blackmailing case

Mohammed Shereef, a native of Palakkad, who had allegedly made the blackmailing plan, was taken into custody

With his arrest, the total number of arrests are seven and at least two more remain to be nabbed

Besides Shereef, the other key player of the racket is Rafeeque. He was among the four persons arrested on Thursday

It was Rafeeque, already married and father of two, who played the role of the bridegroom of actress Shamna Kasim

The incident came to light after Shamna’s father filed a police complaint stating that four youngsters were threatening to release some old video clips of the actress

Meanwhile, police revealed that a special team has been formed to probe into the case after many models also lodged complaints about similar cases
